To the children 

1. Educational Aspect

In addition to the official value given to the program, the child that finds himself under medical care continues with his scholarly activities, activities which are fully recognized by his own parent school. The individualized teaching methods developed allow the student a consolidated and integrated form of learning as well as a standard assimilation of lesson and study plans.

2. Social Aspect

The integrated multi-grade classrooms promote the individual to remain in contact with classmates of different age groups, as a way to stimulate social and emotional maturity appropiate to his age by encouraging learning, sharing and absorption of the experiences of others.

3. Emotional Aspect

The child is able to continue with his daily activities via studies or play, which in itself allows the children/patient-and his parents-to maintain a positive attitude and continue to fight for hope with an eye on the future.

To the parents and family members. 

The program offers family members emotional support in addition to developing in conjunction with them various handcraft activities such as stitching. We also offer reading materials in many subjects such as health and welfare as well as videos designed to alleviate long hours of wait while visiting the patient.  

To our Volunteers 

One of the major goals achieved by Aprendo Contigo has been to change the concept of volunteerism by moving towards a more organized and efficient core of volunteers with clear-cut and well defined job descriptions. 

Aprendo Contigo has ment, for its more than 200 volunteers, a clear commintment to our society and our poverty-stricken infirm children by making the learning process a dynamic one that is also family inclusive. It also offers these volunteers a way to find solidarity in such a worthwhile effort.
