INEN (Cancer Hospital)
At the INEN, Aprendo Contigo carries out its educational and recreational program in a properly conditioned classroom and in the different areas where the hospitalized children are located. Children who are under outpatient treatment (outpatient visits, chemotherapy) do mostly recreational and manual activities in the areas where they are being treated. Parents are an important part of the program. Like their hospitalized children, they also have socio-emotional support and specific workshops.

Shifts: Monday through Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and afternoons from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Children helped daily: approximately 100

Teacher aides: 150 

  • Educational Areas: Integral Communication, Logic-Math, Science and Environment, Socio-Personal.
  • Workshops: Painting, theater, puppets, crafts and games.
  • Mobile Cinema: This is a rolling cabinet with TV, DVD and video games for the hospitalized children.
  • Parents: Knitting and crafts workshop for parents. Video and reading informational and recreational material.
