Aprendo Contigo is a program that provides children that are severely impacted by life-threatening illness, to continue with as much normalcy as possible, attending classes and developing physically, emotionally and intelectually, by providing that element of stability be it while confined to a hospital bed or as a walk-in patient undergoing treatment.

Our fundamental objective, which is accomplished via study and play, is to create an environment of normalcy for the patient during hospitalization or treatment. Children rise every morning knowing they will attend school, that they will be required to maintain their grades and more importantly, that they will continue with a sense of normalcy by routinely interacting with classmates, educational assistants and qualified teachers who oversee the program. They continue to have access to appropriate lesson plans, learning materials as well as continued creative development through various handcrafts, workshops and hobbies. From an emotional aspect we strive to not make their illness the center of their lives. Thanks to the value placed  on our work we count with official recognition by Ministerial Resolution Nr.1031-2003 which facilitates the re-assimilation of th patient into their pre-illness environment.

• Aprendo Contigo is an entity authorized to acept donations via decree No. 137-2007.EF/15 issued by teh Ministry of Economics, and renewed on March 9, 2007.
• Aprendo Contigo is a registered organization in the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI) with the following registry number: 024-2004/APCI and is an Educational Not-for-Profit Agency authorized to accept International Contributions(IPREDA). This charter was renewed on May 8,2007.
• Aprendo Contigo is a member of the National Charter of Volunteers of Peru (CENAVOL).
